Hide your Dirty Laundry in this modern cabinet
I like it but I feel there is a new reliance on tech that's done ON PURPOSE to make skilled trades obsolete , if we put together premade houses wheres the need for craftsmanship, math , carpentry etc ...younwill be able to hire joe schmoe off the street with no experience weve seen what happening with all.the " new" people in trucking ..i'm all for it but beware
There aint no bolt, nut or stud that is too tight for the blue wrench.
Can you advise if dry pour suitable for drive way?thx
Yes or no?
How old is the oldest buolding made this way? If its less than 60 years we're still learning if this is a good idea
Ok
lmao Making your own tools is part of being a mechanic. Hell, it was even covered in academy. A tool is never broken, it's just waiting to be modified for a new job.
nice build! you should make a chair that leans back and use this song. The Recline
Shoulda went at the base.
Torch may have helped.
It didn’t
If that thing catches fire. It’s gone quick
As opposed to every other wood frame home in North America?
Ok
@@theonlyalexoliveira have you ever lit a piece of osb on fire? The sheathing is osb on my house, not the entire structure.
Funny thing that little voice in the head knows before you do.
Whoever thinks heating metal makes it shrink needs to go back to school.
😂yeah, heating metal causes it to expand, how did they get that bss Aackwords? Cooling it, would cause it to contract, super cooling the bolt, with liquid nitrogen would probably also make the holy shrink enough to just pop right out. 😂
That is too funny
Modifications to a tool if needed to adapt to the project at hand is the difference between a good mechanic with improvisation skills and someone who sucks and gives up on everything they do in life. Those people need to stay in their lane and keep the Fuck out of mine!!!!!
So the water just replaces the air pockets then?
Freeze your stud , pardon the pun
I've used mapp torches on stuck stuff before. I get it toasty then hit it with atf and acetone. It will usually come out pretty easy after. Don't breath that shit though.
15 years in the trade as a HD Tech… carry on good sir, you’re doing good work.
Yep 10 min job can take all day from one mistake !
Candle Wax numb nuts.
nails squeek
I like the ‘fail’ one! It made me think of a few projects it would be awesome for!!
It always depends on the application. Do you need to handle lots of weight (e.g., for the foundation of your house)? The wet pour is the way to go every time. Are you using it to pour a little slab at the back door to keep muddy footprints out of your kitchen? Dry pour is fine.
Thank you for your service!! As I am getting older I’m realizing some people are just so miserable they have to try to make us all that way. If it works for you that’s all that matters.
Im confused...
He was really gonna cry..feel for u man i really do..
I have modified many tools working as a mechanic, but it would be a inexpensive tool as I know I wouldn't use it everyday but when I needed it again it was there to use
Should pour a bit of liquid nitrogen to shrink the block, which increase the hole, and the screw shall decrease in diameter as well
Right
I thought it was going
Makes sense if the metal is expanding its most likely going to where there is none so the hole
Yeah... im not a mechanic but if this happens alot, maybe you should use wd40 on every bolt
I can confirm you’re not a mechanic.
Thanks. That is the cleanest lathe that I've ever seen. Mine hasn't looked that good since it came out of the crate.
Get a drop hitch lol
Doesn’t appear that you did the calculation for the arm extension. Once you calculate it, the placement of the adapter on the tool you made must be exact if you want to be “torqued to spec.”
Ok
Story of my life brother
That was dumb
SIP panels do this, but much more efficiently...
Ok
How long does it last? What about strength? I’m all for it but I’d be curious to talk to the companies engineer on a podcast
Advantech itself comes with a 50 year warranty.
@@FullSteamDesigns we have stick frame houses that have stood hundreds of years. 50 years isn't at all confidence inspiring
@@joshdiehl8737 ok
It’s not torque to spec……unless you did the math for the extra length of the wrench
Ok
It’s a nice setup and tho kinda reminds me of those ikea shelves
Thats pretty wild. Idk if I would want a home like this unless its significantly cheaper. Also makes me wonder if insurance on this kind of home is any different than a normal 2x4 and truss.
I doubt it’s cheaper. It’s built significantly better than a timber framed house.
@@FullSteamDesigns How do you mean? Built better? (Not trying to argue with you, or be rude in any way shape or form just asking for a little more detail, hard to tell the tone in text sometimes)
Like 50% waste and the workers gain zero skills minus using an air nailer...
That’s incorrect. There’s very little waste.
Heat it with a blow torch for 5-10 mins or so. Stick a wax candle next to the threads it will melt and pull the wax in. Ive used this multiple times to get completely seized axle nuts off.
Ok
😂😂😂
Keith made the hole smaller because it expanded and needed somewhere to go.
House made of particle board. Jesus Christ.
It’s not particle board.
@FullSteamDesigns Its OSB which is similar to particle board. OSB with resin. Pretty damn similar.
@@joshdiehl8737 no it isn’t. You really need to look both of them up. You’re confused about what particle board is.
@FullSteamDesigns Bro anything with a name like "Advantech" is blatantly some startup that does the typical overselling and over application of an otherwise decent idea. The stuff isn't *just* laminated OSB. It's more like each individual piece of OSB fiber/wood chips were laminated so it has more thorough water resistance. Genuinely seems like a substantial improvement over standard OSB. Great for subfloor I'd imagine, but don't try to build the rest of my house out of it. It's water resistant OSB, not a miracle material.
@@bwood6337 a startup 😂😂😂
About to snap
Uhhh no 😂
Do you know if it’s a cost savings? Or what benefit it serves? Other than perhaps some of the ease of construct ability you had mentioned
“If it works, is it really a dumb idea” -VGG
I hate to hate but building a house out of plywood is kinda stupid
Uhh well aside from the fact that houses are already built from plywood, this isn’t plywood. Like I said, it’s Advantech.
It’s literally particle board.
@@ellisdylan007 no it isn’t.
Idk man it’s pretty sturdy
@@FullSteamDesigns It's OSB with a resin layer. Stop playing like it's that crazy.
